Four categories of crime accounted for 1,103 property crimes in Coral Gables over a one-year period, according to an analysis by the Coral Gables Police Department. Here is the breakdown of those crimes from Aug. 1, 2013, to July 31, 2014: 270 residential burglaries, 108 thefts from curtilage of residence (items taken from the area surrounding the home), 643 thefts from automobiles and 82 thefts of an auto part.
