The student body in Miami-Dade County has become increasingly more Hispanic and enrollment has decreased slightly since the '01-02 school year.
Of the 460 schools in Miami-Dade County, 214 are considered "isolated," with more than 85 percent of the student body belonging to a single race or ethnicity. Of those schools, 45 were mostly African American or Caribbean black and 169 were predominantly Hispanic.
