How do I manage my home delivery account?

To manage your home delivery account please visit http://www.miamiherald.com/service.

The first time you visit the service page, you'll need to create an account. This account is separate from your Miami Herald Plus+ account.

What time each day may I expect my Miami Herald to arrive?
Our target time for delivery is 6:30 am Monday through Friday and 7:30 am Saturday, Sunday and holidays. Among the factors affecting delivery times are late breaking news, weather and the size of the paper.

How do I report an issue with my delivery?
You may report any delivery concerns by visiting http://www.miamiherald.com/service or by calling 1-800-THE-HERALD (1-800-843-4372).

What options are available if I do experience a delivery issue?

Monday through Saturday you may elect to have a replacement copy delivered the next day or you can elect to receive a credit applied to your account. On Sundays between the hours of 7 am and 10 am, you may have a paper redelivered the same day or you may elect to receive a credit.

When can I speak with a Customer Service Representative?
For any questions regarding your subscription that needs to be addressed by a customer service agent, please call 1-800-THE-HERALD (1-800-843-4372) during the following hours: Monday - Friday from 7 am to 3 pm; Sunday and holidays from 7 am to 11 am.

Why did I receive a newspaper delivery on a day I was not scheduled to receive one?
Weekend subscribers will receive delivery on 1/1,1/19, 2/18, 3/18, 4/22, 5/25, 6/17, 7/3, 8/28, 9/7, 9/16, 10/14, 11/26, 11/27, 12/24, 12/25, 12/26 & 12/31. All subscribers will be charged an additional $1.50 for the 2/18, 3/18, 4/22, 5/25, 6/17, 8/28 & 10/14 Premium Editions and $2.00 on Thanksgiving Day (11/26).

How do I stop my paper when going on vacation?
You may process your temporary stop through our convenient customer service portal at http://www.miamiherald.com/service or you may call 1-800-THE-HERALD (1-800-843-4372) and select option 2 at the menu.

What payment options are available to subscribers?
Direct payment to the Miami Herald by credit or debit card, check or money order is the most convenient method of payment. EZ-PAY automatic credit or debit card renewal eliminates receiving and returning a bill. If you purchased a subscription for a friend or relative, the bill will be sent to you while delivery is made to the recipient.

What is EZ-PAY?
EZ Pay is the easiest way to pay for your Miami Herald subscription. No mailed bills, No writing checks. Your credit or debit card is automatically charged at your subscription rate and length. Instead of receiving a bill every renewal period, the appropriate charge will appear on your credit or debit card.

Do you accept credit or debit cards for payments?
Yes, we accept Visa, Discover, American Express and MasterCard. You can also automatically renew your subscription with EZ-PAY monthly recurring billing. One-time payments can also be made by using your credit or debit card or your checking account. Call our Customer Service Center at 1-800-THE-HERALD (1-800-843-4372).

Why did delivery continue after my payment ran out?
Delivery and billing continues unless the Miami Herald is otherwise notified. Most subscribers prefer an ongoing subscription and choose to continue the service after the initial term expires.

What is Miami Herald Plus+ and Press+?

Miami Herald Plus+ provides immediate and unlimited access to all content on our newspaper�s website (MiamiHerald.com), our mobile site (m.miamiherald.com), our iPhone and Android smartphone apps, our iPad apps, and our Digital Newspaper electronic replica edition (e-Edition), in addition to your print newspaper subscription. Miami Herald Plus+ combines all the ways you can read Miami Herald content into one price.

 

Press+ is our e-commerce system for digital subscriptions. When you subscribe to Miami Herald Plus+, you will create an account with Press+ to access our digital products. If you subscribed to a digital only subscription, Press+ will charge your credit card for the subscription amount. The charge will appear on your credit card statement as “Press Plus” in the amount you have selected for your subscription.

How do I sign up for a digital subscription?
Visit http://www.miamiherald.com/plus and select an available package to sign up. Your digital subscription can be shared with everyone in your household.

How do I access or activate my digital subscription once I�ve subscribed?
If you purchased a digital only subscription, you are automatically signed in as soon as you subscribe; there isn’t anything further you need to do. If you are prompted with a message to subscribe at a later time, you can log in with the account you created. If you subscribed at one computer and would like to sign in at a different computer (e.g. home and work computers), go to http://www.miamiherald.com/plus and click “Plus+ Sign In.”

 

If you purchased a print and digital subscription, you need to visit http://www.miamiherald.com/activate and click on "Activate Digital Membership" in order to create your Press + login account.

I�m a print and/or digital edition subscriber and activated the Miami Herald Plus+ digital subscription, but now it won�t let me in.

It is possible that the address listed on your digital subscription does not match the address we have on file. Please contact us at plus@miamiherald.com.

I have a subscription to The Miami Herald but not for all seven days. Do I still have access to the digital subscription?

If you have a Miami Herald Plus+ print/digital subscription, regardless of the frequency of your home delivery subscription, your digital access (online, or via mobile or tablet devices) is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

If I am already a subscriber to a Miami Herald app, do I need to buy a separate digital subscription now?
You can continue your subscription to the individual apps. However to get the best value, you may want to consider a digital subscription that gives you access to all of the apps for one low price.

 

iOS users: If you are having trouble accessing your app only subscription, click on the “restore subscription” button in the app. Note: For this to work, you must be logged-in to your iTunes account with the same account that was used to purchase the subscription.

I can�t log in to the iPhone or iPad apps.


Print + digital subscribers OR digital-only subscribers:

Make sure you are on the latest version of the app. If in doubt, delete the app and download it again from the App Store.
When prompted with the login box, enter your email address and password you choose for your Miami Herald Plus+ account. If you did not create an account, you’ll need to go to http://www.miamiherald.com/activate and click “Activate Digital Membership” link found on the top of the page. If your login still isn’t working, please contact us at plus@miamiherald.com.

iOS App-Only Subscribers:

Make sure you are on the latest version of the app. If in doubt, delete the app and download it again from the App Store.
If you are having trouble accessing your app-only subscription, click on the “Restore Subscription” button located in the app settings. Note: For this to work, you must be logged-in to your iTunes account with the same account that was used to purchase the subscription.

Is access to my eReader (Kindle or Nook) included in my digital subscription?
No. Your current eReader subscription is not changing. Our eReader applications are not currently included in the Miami Herald Plus+ subscription and you will continue to subsribe to those applications via the eReader third party (Amazon or Barnes & Noble). Miami Herald Plus+ subscription includes: MiamiHerald.com, elNuevoHerald.com, all of our Android and iOS applications, our iPad applications and the Digital Newspaper (e-Edition).

Can I comment or read the comments without paying for a digital subscription?
You will be able to read and post comments on stories during your limited access period. Once you have reached your allotment of stories, you would need to log in with a digital subscription to continue your access.

On the website, our commenting system is powered by Facebook. You will need to log in with your Facebook.com registration account in order to comment. This account is separate from your Miami Herald Plus+ account.

If I place my account on vacation hold, do I still have access to digital?
If you placed your home delivery subscription on vacation hold, you will continue to have uninterrupted access to your digital subscription for two weeks. If your vacation hold is longer than two weeks, then you’ll need to sign up for a digital-only subscription for the remaining time you’ll be away.

What do I do if I forgot my password?

To reset your password, follow these steps:
1. Go to https://accounts.mypressplus.com
2. Click “Forgot password”
3. Enter your email address and click “Submit.” This will send you an email with a link to reset your password.
4. After clicking the link, you will be prompted to enter and confirm your new password.
5. Click “Submit” and your password will be updated.

How will digital-only subscriptions be billed?
We accept major credit cards. Subscriptions are billed every 30 days for monthly subscriptions or every 360 days for annual subscriptions. Your subscription renews automatically, and you are charged in advance of each billing cycle unless you cancel.

Note: Because Press+ is managing the billing for your digital subscription, the charge on your credit card statement will say “Press Plus” rather than the Miami Herald.

What is the cancellation & refund policy?

You may cancel your subscription at any time.

For digital only subscribers that cancel, we will stop charging your account the following billing cycle. Subscriptions that span 30 days or less (e.g. monthly subscriptions) and donations are non-refundable unless canceled within 24 hours of purchase. If you cancel a subscription that spans more than 30 days (e.g. annual subscriptions), you are entitled to a pro-rata refund for all unused months of your subscription. Press+ reserves the right to suspend or terminate your subscriptions to Press+ products if you breach these Terms and Conditions without further obligation to you.

For print and digital plus subscribers, we will stop charging you upon cancellation.

How do NIE teachers access the Digital Edition?
Registered NIE teachers should contact us at NIE@miamiherald.com to be given unlimited access to the website and the e-Edition for use in the classroom.
