Welcome to the Miami Herald and el Nuevo Herald Silver Knight Awards program. We look forward to your school's participation in this exciting program that recognizes outstanding high school seniors for their community service and achievements. Since its inception, we have celebrated the accomplishments of more than 20,000 students and presented over $1 million in cash awards. You have an important role in helping to give outstanding students the recognition they deserve. To facilitate this, we have prepared this handbook with guidelines that explain the program and the steps involved to complete the application process.
